'Anybody else yell this phrase at your TV on Sunday?

I can't fact-check this because I was watching live and not recording it, but did CBS show ANYBODY except AK and TW after Bryce Molder, who was in the FIFTH to the last group, finish?

I know when TW plays that's pretty much all you'll see. But Sunday was an embarrassment. If I wanted to watch only 2 golfers for 90 minutes, I'll put in a Shell's WWOG tape!

Frank Chirkinian...PLEASE RE-INCARNATE!

Tiger was the tournament host, the eventual winner and the best player in the world for a very long time. What part of that don't you understand? How can you expect any different from the network, who is chasing ratings.

The guy who shot 62 played 9 holes before tv started, and they showed parts of his back 9. At the point the 62 was posted, it still wasn't enough for the lead.

That's a valid point, along with "well just turn it off if you don't like it," which is what my wife said. I was watching it only for the possible historic aspect of it, plus no Sunday NASCAR and the Indy race had ended.

But when Nicklaus was doing his thing, the networks, particularly CBS , didn't treat it like Jack, and his playing partner, were the only ones on the course. BTW, Mr. Chirkinian is alive; didn't intend for it to sound otherwise.

If they had shown the others AT LEAST FINISH 18, CBS would have gotten better ratings. Not even the next-to-last group!

I came very close to saying "the heck with it." How many old-time golf watchers actually carried out that threat?

Well, the first thing you need is an attitude adjustment followed by a reality check.

You are not watching a golf tournament.

You are watching a tv sports show starring Tiger Woods and only Tiger Woods. Oh, on occasion they will show a few other golfers but never to slight Woods.

So the reality is that the networks think that viewers won't watch if Tiger is not on the screen 95% of the time. So it is their money and they choose to focus almost exclusively on Tiger.

Of course they should put a disclaimer up at the start of the telecast to inform viewers of the information I have just posted.

Tiger's "clinic" on how to close out a victory rivals anything I have ever seen on Shell's Wonderful World of Golf. Too bad you couldn't appreciate it.
